HOUSTON, TX (March 10, 2026) – Thursday, a 40-year-old man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 9700 Hollister Street.

The incident happened at around 5:20 a.m. in the 9700 block of Hollister Street.

Authorities said the identity of a 40-year-old man who died in the crash was being withheld until family members were notified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston police said officers learned the man had been walking in the middle of the street when he was struck by a red Infiniti Q50 traveling north.

Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said the 26-year-old driver stayed at the location, showed no signs of impairment, and was questioned before being released.
