FRESNO, CA (September 8, 2025) – Saturday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on Palm Avenue and McKinley Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Palm Avenue and McKinley Avenue.

A pedestrian in an electric wheelchair was struck and killed while crossing Palm Avenue in Fresno, police said.

Officers found the victim lying in the roadway and rushed them to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. According to Fresno Police Lt. Michael Pierce, the pedestrian was crossing outside a crosswalk when they were hit by a southbound vehicle.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
