WESTCHESTER, CA (November 19, 2025) – Monday night, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on San Diego Freeway and La Tijera Boulevard.

The incident happened at 11:16 p.m. on the southbound San Diego Freeway, south of La Tijera Boulevard, said the California Highway Patrol.

A white Kia Soul crossover SUV was reported to have hit the pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released.

A SigAlert went out at 11:39 p.m., closing all southbound lanes and diverting traffic to the La Cienega/Manchester boulevards off-ramp while CHP officers investigated. The lanes reopened around 2:30 a.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
