1 Person Dead in Ramona Pedestrian Accident on State Route 78 near Seventh Street

RAMONA, CA (October 15, 2025) – Saturday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on State Route 78 near Seventh Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. on westbound State Route 78, just west of Seventh Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota struck a female and a male pedestrian who were crossing the low-lighted roadway.

Moreover, responders pronounced a 35-year-old female pedestrian dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 42-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, officers believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
