1 Dead in San Jacinto Pedestrian Accident on State Street and Ramona Boulevard

SAN JACINTO, CA (January 5, 2025) – Thursday night, a brutal pedestrian crash on State Street and Ramona Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 6:12 p.m. on State Street, south of Ramona Boulevard, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Patrick Lynch.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was standing on the side of the road and fell into the roadway, where he was struck by a passing vehicle,” Lynch added. 

Meanwhile, the vehicle’s driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

“Information obtained at the scene suggests that alcohol and/or drug impairment on the part of the pedestrian may have been a factor in the collision,” the sergeant revealed.

The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld until relatives are notified.
