Woman Killed in Brutal Rear-End Crash on South Odell Avenue

1 Dead in Columbia Auto Accident on South Odell Avenue

COLUMBIA, MO (April 29, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, a 65-year-old woman died in a brutal rear-end crash on South Odell Avenue.

The incident happened at about 1:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Odell Avenue.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that one vehicle rear-ended another, sending both off the roadway. The second vehicle then struck a pedestrian.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 65-year-old woman from Marshall, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old woman from Marshall, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

The driver of the first vehicle had minor injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.
