Woman Killed in Brutal Semi-Truck Accident on Arnold Way

1 Dead in Fresno County Vehicle Crash on Arnold Way and Chestnut Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 30, 2026) – Monday morning, a woman died in a brutal semi-truck accident on Arnold Way and Chestnut Avenue.

The incident involving a semi-truck and a Honda Acura happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Arnold Way and Chestnut Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Peterbilt truck tractor hauling a modular classroom entered an uncontrolled intersection. It began turning left from Arnold Way onto southbound Chestnut Avenue when the crash occurred.

Investigators said an Acura TL traveling northbound on Chestnut Avenue struck the left rear portion of the trailer. The impact sent the car into the parking lots of Red Triangle Oil Company and Flyers Filling Station before it veered back onto the roadway.

The Acura driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the commercial truck driver was not injured, remained at the scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information is asked to contact the CHP Fresno Area office.
