RIVERSIDE, CA (October 8, 2023) – Saturday night, a brutal single-vehicle crash on Jefferson Street and Dufferin Avenue killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 111:04 p.m. on Jefferson Street and Dufferin Avenue.

According to the Sgt. Emilio Angulo, a Mercedes traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and crashed into a tree.

Moreover, responders rushed the vehicle’s driver and a passenger to Riverside Community Hospital, where the passenger was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team continued to investigate the crash.
