Woman Killed, Man Injured in Brutal Single-Vehicle Crash on Knott Street and Acacia Avenue [Garden Grove, CA]

1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Garden Grove Auto Accident on Knott Street and Acacia Avenue

GARDEN GROVE, CA (September 27, 2026) – Saturday morning, a woman died, and a man was injured in a brutal single-vehicle crash on Knott Street and Acacia Avenue.

The incident occurred at around 3:00 a.m. at the intersection of Knott Street and Acacia Avenue.

Garden Grove police Sgt. Thomas Capps said a white 2007 Toyota Highlander struck a utility pole at the southeast corner of an intersection and caught fire. The male driver and female passenger were both unconscious when first responders arrived.

Firefighters extricated the driver, who was rushed to UCI Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, reports said.
