1 Dead in Sacramento Auto Accident on Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue

SACRAMENTO, CA (December 28, 2025) – Saturday morning, a person died in a brutal traffic crash on Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue.



The incident happened just before 1:15 a.m. on Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue.

Officials said the crash occurred when a gray Nissan failed to stop at a red light and was struck by a silver Nissan. The gray vehicle then continued into a parking lot, where it crashed into a fence.

The driver of the gray Nissan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. A passenger in that vehicle was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Two passengers in the silver Nissan also suffered major injuries and were transported to the hospital.

CHP said alcohol is believed to have been a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.
