Four Killed in Head-On Crash on Mount Emma Road in Littlerock

Littlerock, CA (May 11, 2025) — 23-year-old Byron Herrera Lorenzana was among the four people who lost their lives Friday evening after a violent head-on collision on Mount Emma Road in Littlerock, where investigators believe alcohol may have contributed to the crash.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 6:39 p.m. near 77th Street East, south of Pearblossom Highway. Authorities said an Infiniti G35 traveling eastbound crossed into the westbound lane and slammed head-on into a Honda Pilot SUV.

The driver of the Infiniti, identified as Lorenzana, and a passenger inside the vehicle died at the scene. Investigators said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt during the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot suffered critical injuries and were airlifted to a nearby hospital, where both later died.

Officials stated that evidence recovered from the Infiniti suggests alcohol likely played a role in the deadly collision. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Authorities also reminded drivers to use caution on mountain roads like Mount Emma Road, where narrow lanes, limited visibility, and speeding can increase the risk of serious head-on crashes.
