Driver Calton Davis Airlifted in Upton County Deadly Crash

Highway 349 Head-On Collision Kills Arkansas Woman

Upton County, TX (January 6, 2026) – Calton Davis, 30, of San Angelo, sustained serious injuries following a deadly vehicle crash on Highway 349 Wednesday morning.

It was past 10 a.m. when the two-vehicle crash happened near mile marker 372 in Upton County.

Troopers said a southbound Nissan failed to maintain a single lane and swerved into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the Ford.

The authorities declared the Nissan’s driver, Andrea Wright, 21, of Clarksville, Arkansas, deceased at the scene. They said she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

Moreover, the Ford’d driver, Davis, incurred serious injuries and was airlifted to Odessa Medical Center Hospital. Officers said he was also wearing a seat belt.

Officers are still investigating this fatal crash.
