Injuries Reported in La Mesa Auto Accident on Lake Murray Boulevard near Jackson Drive

LA MESA, CA (March 5, 2023) – Friday night, two people suffered injuries in a car crash on Lake Murray Boulevard near Jackson Drive.

The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Lake Murray Boulevard near Jackson Drive.

According to reports, a 30-year-old man driving a Subaru Impreza drove north on Lake Murray Boulevard toward Jackson Drive. However, a 49-year-old woman heading south in a Ford Mustang steered into the northbound traffic. Then, her car collided head-on with the Subaru.

After the crash, the male driver suffered no injuries in the crash. However, the Mustang driver sustained head trauma, a broken arm, and internal bleeding. Meanwhile, her 19-year-old passenger sustained skull fractures and other injuries.

Officers noted that both of them sustained life-threatening injuries.

Also, the crash led to the closure of northbound Lake Murray Boulevard between Dallas Street and Jackson Drive for several hours, said the San Diego Police Department.

Moreover, the authorities believed that DUI may have played a role in the crash.
