Motorcyclist Dies in Early Morning Collision Near Andrews Highway in Odessa

Odessa, TX (December 28, 2025) — A fatal motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 36-year-old Carlos Martinez De Jesus early Saturday morning in Odessa.

Officers responded around 7:50 a.m. to a collision at the intersection of 91st Street and Andrews Highway.

Investigators determined that Martinez De Jesus was riding northbound on Andrews Highway when a black GMC pickup traveling west on 91st Street entered the intersection without yielding at a stop sign.

The motorcycle struck the pickup, and Martinez De Jesus died at the scene. Authorities notified his next of kin. The driver of the pickup, identified as 35-year-old Jose Ybarra, remained at the location as officers continued their investigation.

Police are still working to determine all factors that led to the crash.
