Driver Carlos Rojas Mora Faces Charges Following Deadly Crash on 31st Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (June 9, 2026) – The authorities arrested 35-year-old Carlos Rojas Mora following a deadly crash on 31st Avenue Sunday night.

It was before 9 p.m. on June 7 when the fatal incident happened near Buckeye Road.

Rescuers responded to the scene and located the young boy suffering from injuries. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, wherein he was declared deceased.

The accident report stated that the driver, Carlos Rojas Mora, stopped after the impact but fled in another vehicle. 

Police later found Mora, and took him into custody without incident. 

Mora faces several felony charges.
