Corolla Driver Airlifted in Leon County Fatal Crash
Leon County, TX (August 14, 2026) – Carrie Dazey , 59, of Buffalo, was killed, and another was injured in a Highway 75 collision Tuesday afternoon.
It was past 2 p.m. on Tuesday when a 2021 Buick Enclave driven by Dazey was southbound on the freeway.
Police said Dazey she attempted to turn left onto FM 1618 and drove onto the path of a northbound 2012 Toyota Carolla.
The two vehicles collided and Dazey was declared dead at the scene.
Moreover, rescuers airlifted the Corolla driver to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple in unknown condition.
