19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Carson Smith Dies in DUI Crash on Interstate 10 and Pebble Creek Parkway in Goodyear

Goodyear, AZ (September 13, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, 19-year-old Carson Smith died in a DUI crash on Interstate 10 and Pebble Creek Parkway.

Subsequently, police arrested 40-year-old Christopher Clark for charges including vehicular manslaughter, aggravated assault, DUI, DUI Drugs, and Reckless Driving.

The fatal DUI crash in Goodyear happened at around 1:50 a.m. on September 13. 

Goodyear Police said Clark ran a red light and hit Smith on his motorcycle and another car.

EMS took Smith to a hospital where he later died. The other driver’s condition is unknown at this time.

Investigators found Clark was under the influence of drugs when he ran the red light.

Further investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
