29-Year-Old Cesar Rangel Involved in Deadly Accident on Fifth Street [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (February 17, 2025) – 29-year-old Cesar Rangel of Oxnard was involved in a deadly accident on Fifth Street early Sunday morning.

The fatal crash happened before 5 a.m. Rose Avenue.

Troopers said a Honda Pilot driven by Cesar Rangel was eastbound on Fifth Street when he struck a pedestrian.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was killed at the accident scene.

The accident scene lies several hundred yards east of Rose in a central area of the city.

Officers said Cesar Rangel remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. 

According to the authorities, excessive speed and impairment with alcohol or drugs do not appear to be contributing factors in the deadly crash.
