Injuries Reported in Apple Valley Bicycle Accident near Pine Ridge Avenue and Jicarilla Road

APPLE VALLEY, CA (September 9, 2025) – Saturday night, 40-year-old Charles King suffered injuries in a startling electric bike crash near Pine Ridge Avenue.

Reports said that the incident occurred at around 10:44 p.m. near the intersection of Pine Ridge Avenue and Jicarilla Road.

According to his sister, Deanne Rodarmel, the victim was hit and left seriously injured in the roadway for at least 20 to 30 minutes before a bystander found him and called for help.

He was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center with multiple injuries, including broken teeth, a fractured nose, and leg injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.

A neighbor later shared a video with the family that captured screeching sounds, a dragging noise, and what appeared to be a small, dark SUV speeding away from the area.
