Charlie Urias Killed in Navajo Road Pedestrian Crash [Apple Valley, CA]

Apple Valley, CA (November 23, 2023) –  Charlie Urias was killed following a Navajo Road pedestrian crash Sunday night.

The authorities responded to the crash scene at 7:12 p.m. on November 19. Officers said Urias was walking in the northbound lane when he was hit by a silver sedan traveling in the same direction. The sedan driver fled the scene leaving the victim with severe injuries. 

Afterward, a second motorist, a 37-year-old Apple Valley man driving a Chevrolet Traverse also struck Urias. The Apple Valley man stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He did not sustain injuries in the collision.

Sadly,  Charlie Urias was declared deceased at the accident scene. 

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) is investigating this traffic accident.

Moreover, officers are asking for public’s help in identifying the absconding driver and their vehicle, a silver sedan with noticeable front end damage. Officers said the vehicle possibly featured a honeycomb style front grill.
