Mabank Traffic Crash Results in Fatality

Mabank, TX (June 28, 2026) – Mabank Fire Chief Charlie Woodard was fatally injured following a W Mason Street accident Saturday night.

Troopers said Woodard was hit by a vehicle while directing traffic following the Mabank Rodeo.

Woodard sadly lost his life in the accident.

Troopers said the victim was also a police officer and the Mabank fire marshal.
