Chaw-Long Shih, 65, Killed in Bicycle Accident on W 35th Street [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (July 11, 2026) – 65-year-old Chaw-Long Shih was fatally injured following a bicycle accident on W 35th Street Sunday morning.

The deadly collision between the bicycle and another vehicle happened past 5 a.m. on July 5, at the 1800 block area.

Immediately, rescuers rushed Chaw-Long Shih to a hospital, where he died on July 8.

Troopers said vehicle involved, a 2016 to 2018 blue Honda Civic, fled the scene after the crash. They said the vehicle sustained front end damage.
