Chevrolet Driver Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 54 [Jefferson City, MO]

Jefferson City, MO (April 27, 2026) – A 75-year-old woman from Villa Ridge, Missouri, was seriously injured following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 54 on Friday.

Investigators said a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 75-year-old woman was westbound on the freeway when she tried to turn left. 

That is when, a 2005 Ford 500 driven by a 23-year-old man from Stover, rear-ended the Chevrolet.

As a result, the Chevrolet went off the road onto the eastbound lanes, and was struck by a 2012 Honda Pilot driven by a 47-year-old Jefferson City man.

The Chevrolet then overturned, seriously injuring its driver.

Rescuers responded to the collision and rushed the Chevrolet driver to University Hospital. 

The driver from Stover was moderately injured and was taken to Capital Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

Moreover, the Jefferson City man sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in a private vehicle. MSHP said the he was wearing a seatbelt during the collision.
