2 Children Hospitalized After Crash on 59th Avenue in Glendale

Glendale, AZ (January 9, 2025) – A child sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash on 59th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Glendale police reported that the collision occurred around 1 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of 59th Avenue and Camelback Road. 

The first vehicle, carrying one adult, was traveling westbound with a green light. 

The second vehicle, which contained two adults and two children, was making a left turn when it collided with the first vehicle.

Police indicated that one of the children might have been ejected from the second vehicle during the crash. 

The injured child is in critical condition at the hospital, while the second child was also hospitalized as a precaution.

Both adults in the second vehicle escaped injury, according to police.

Authorities stated that speed and impairment do not appear to have contributed to the collision.
