Police Investigate UTV Crash on Blackbird Road in Morgan County
MORGAN COUNTY, MO (June 18, 2026)— A child died Wednesday evening after a UTV crash on Blackbird Road, north of Birch Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a CF Moto UForce 1000 was traveling north on Blackbird Road around 5:30 p.m. when it skidded on gravel and ran off the left side of the roadway.
The 7-year-old boy driving the UTV overcorrected as the vehicle returned to the road. The UTV then skidded again, left the roadway a second time, and overturned.
Emergency responders transported the child and a 42-year-old male passenger from Stover, Missouri, to University Hospital after the crash.
Authorities later pronounced the child dead at 7:29 p.m.
MSHP reported that neither the child nor the adult passenger wore a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Officials continue to investigate the fatal Morgan County UTV accident.
Sweet Lawyers extend our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the deceased child. May the bereaved find solace and strength in this extremely trying time.
