Chris Brignetti Killed in Tragic Crash on Lea Drive [Marin County, CA]

Community Mourns Cycling Coach, Demands Road Safety

Marin County, CA (July 4, 2025) Chris Brignetti was tragically killed Saturday afternoon in a horrific crash on Lea Drive.

According to authorities, the fatal collision happened at the intersection of Lea Drive and Freitas Parkway in San Rafael.

Reports say that Brignetti was riding his bike on Lea Drive when a car collided with him.

A Marin County community is uniting to support the family of the beloved bicycle coach who tragically died after the fatal collision. Friends, colleagues, and local advocates are also strongly urging immediate safety enhancements at the accident site.

The community quickly rallied to support Brignetti’s family, establishing a GoFundMe page that raised over $50,000 within 48 hours.
