Farwell Man Killed After Pickup Collides With Semi in Parmer County
Parmer County, TX (July 16, 2026) — Early Tuesday morning, 23-year-old Christian Cano of Farwell lost his life after his pickup truck collided with a semi-truck on FM 145 in Parmer County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred just before 6 a.m. on Farm-to-Market 145, east of Farwell. Investigators said a westbound semi was traveling along the highway when an eastbound 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 crossed into the opposite lane and crashed head-on into the truck.
The impact caused the Dodge Ram to roll over and catch fire.
Emergency responders transported the semi-truck driver to Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis with minor injuries. The pickup driver, identified as 23-year-old Christian Alberto Cano of Farwell, died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The Texas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
