Driver Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on I-20 in Nolan County

Nolan County, TX (November 28, 2025) — On Wednesday evening, a deadly three-vehicle collision on I-20 in Nolan County claimed the life of 33-year-old Christopher Cardoza of Roscoe.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. near FM 608.

Investigators say Cardoza was heading south on FM 608 when he turned left onto the I-20 service road and collided with another vehicle that was turning right onto the same road.

The impact pushed Cardoza’s vehicle over an embankment and into the eastbound lanes of I-20, where it crashed into a third vehicle. That vehicle was forced off the roadway and into a nearby parking lot. Both surviving drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.

Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
