Early Morning Pedestrian Crash Near Ajo Way Leaves 34-Year-Old Dead

Tucson, AZ (February 13, 2026) – 34-year-old Christopher David De La Corte was killed in a pedestrian crash on Park Avenue early Monday morning.

The deadly crash happened on February 9 near Ajo Way.

Rescuers responded to the crash scene and rushed De La Corte to the hospital where he died.

Investigators determined the victim was standing in the northbound median lane of Park Avenue when he was hit by a northbound 2016 Dodge Durango.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Officers said the driver was not impaired.
