Christopher Miller Hurt in Hit-and-Run Collision on Highway 2 [Chelan County, WA]

Christopher J. Miller Injured in Motorcycle Crash on US Highway 2

Chelan County, WA (September 22, 2026) — 62-year-old Christopher Miller suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon on US Highway 2 between Dryden and Cashmere.

Washington State Patrol reported that Christopher J. Miller was riding eastbound near milepost 108 when an eastbound truck made an improper lane change and struck his motorcycle. The impact pushed Miller into the westbound lanes, where another vehicle carrying two Kirkland residents hit the motorcycle.

Miller, who was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, suffered injuries but did not require transportation to a hospital. The two occupants of the second vehicle were not injured.

The driver who allegedly caused the crash left the scene. Authorities are investigating, and charges remain pending.

Hit-and-Run is a Crime

A hit-and-run is a deadly offense that endangers lives and robs victims of their right to assistance. If you’re in an accident, do not leave the scene and check for injuries; 911 should be called immediately. Leaving can lead to criminal charges, even if the crash appears to be minor. As a driver, own it — someone’s life could hang in the balance.

If you observe a hit-and-run, report it and give any information you can. Assistance to law enforcement can really make a difference. Each of us can do our part to drive responsibly and with integrity, and to get everyone the help they need after a crash.

Drivers should check their blind spots and allow plenty of space before changing lanes. A single unsafe maneuver can put motorcyclists and other road users in danger.

File a Personal Injury Claim in Case of a Traffic Accident

A personal injury claim following a traffic collision is a legal process that allows an injured party to seek compensation for physical, emotional, and financial harm caused by the accident. These claims arise when a driver’s negligence, recklessness, or intentional actions lead to an accident resulting in injuries.

The first step in pursuing a personal injury claim is to establish fault. This normally involves gathering evidence such as police reports, witness statements, traffic camera footage, and photographs of the accident scene. A skilled attorney from Sweet Lawyers can help establish who was responsible for the accident, which is indeed necessary for determining liability.

Once fault is established, the injured party can then pursue compensation for damages, which may include but are not limited to medical expenses, lost wages, property damage, and pain and suffering. Consequently, medical documentation and expert testimony are essential for proving the extent of the injuries and their impact on the victim’s life.

Meanwhile, it’s important to note that the statute of limitations, or the time frame within which a personal injury claim must be filed, varies by state. Meaning if a claim is not filed within this window, the victim and the victim’s family may lose the right to seek compensation.

A personal injury claim in case of a traffic collision can be complex, but it offers an essential avenue that helps the victims to recover damages and hold negligent drivers accountable.

Consult with Sweet Lawyers’ personal injury attorneys and let us get the maximum compensation for you.
