72-Year-Old Claudia Gale Porter Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Hancock Drive [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (June 24, 2025) 72-year-old Claudia Gale Porter tragically lost her life in a pedestrian crash on Hancock Drive.

According to the Austin Police Department, the deadly crash happened around 7:45 a.m. in the 2800 block of Hancock Drive.

Reports say that a vehicle struck and fatally injured the 72-year-old woman Friday morning.

Emergency responders transported Porter to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The driver remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment, and cooperated fully with investigators. APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit is currently handling the investigation.
