Clinton Loveless Dies in Shocking Traffic Collision on Brundage Lane [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (June 5, 2025) — 66-year-old Clinton Loveless lost his life Wednesday evening after a collision involving a motorized bicycle and a vehicle in central Bakersfield.

The crash happened around 7:59 p.m. on June 3 at the intersection of Brundage Lane and A Street. Responding officers found the bicyclist suffering from critical injuries in the roadway. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Clinton Ron Loveless of Bakersfield.

According to a preliminary investigation, Loveless was traveling west on Brundage Lane when he entered the intersection against a red traffic signal. A woman driving southbound on A Street then collided with the motorized bicycle.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officials do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
