Cody Morris Dies in Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash on North Central Expressway [Richardson, TX]

Richardson, TX (June 08, 2025) – 27-year-old Cody Morris of Plano tragically lost her life after a hit-and-run crash on North Central Expressway.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened early Saturday morning, at approximately 4:50 a.m. in the 2400 block of North Central Expressway.

Authorities arrested 25-year-old former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph Jr. after he allegedly admitted to leaving the scene of the fatal crash.

Richardson police responded to a motorcycle crash and found only the rider, Morris who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Less than an hour later, Joseph contacted Plano police and admitted involvement in the crash.

Investigators determined he had been driving a BMW northbound on U.S. 75 when the collision occurred. Officers noted signs of intoxication while speaking with him.

Police arrested Joseph on charges of driving while intoxicated and collision involving personal injury or death. The crash remains under investigation.
