Motorcyclist Killed in Springfield Crash; Driver Arrested for Suspected DWI

Springfield, MO (November 10, 2025) — 20-year-old Colin McEntire lost his life Friday night after a two-vehicle collision at Campbell Avenue and Buena Vista Street in Springfield.

Police said the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. when a 2016 Toyota Camry, driven by 32-year-old Colby Wickwar of Springfield, was heading south on Campbell. Wickwar reportedly turned left onto Buena Vista, cutting into the path of a 2024 Honda motorcycle ridden b McEntire, also of Springfield. The motorcycle collided with the car.

Emergency crews transported McEntire to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed that he had been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Officers arrested Wickwar on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was booked into the Greene County Jail, and the case has been forwarded to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

This incident marks Springfield’s 20th fatal crash of the year, bringing the city’s total traffic deaths to 21. The investigation remains ongoing.
