Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by SUV at Kent Intersection

Kent, WA (December 29, 2025) — Kent police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision on 108th Avenue SE that occurred Friday evening.

Officers responded just before 5 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at 108th Avenue SE and SE 224th Street. When police arrived, they found an adult woman unresponsive in the roadway.

Officers immediately began CPR with assistance from Puget Sound Fire crews before paramedics transported her to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. She later died from her injuries.

Investigators determined that the 37-year-old woman was crossing 108th Avenue SE outside of a marked crosswalk while moving westbound when a white SUV traveling southbound struck her. The SUV’s driver, a 55-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Police reported that neither excessive speed nor impairment appears to have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
