Bakersfield, CA (June 21, 2025) — A woman sustained life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run collision on California Avenue in central Bakersfield early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 12:54 a.m. on June 19 in the 3600 block of California Avenue near Real Road. Bakersfield police responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck and found the victim lying in the roadway with critical injuries.

Paramedics transported the woman to a hospital, where she remained in unstable condition.
