Traffic Collision on Central Avenue Kills 1, Injures 3 [Riverside, CA]

Riverside, CA (December 26, 2025) — On Friday, a late-night traffic collision on Central Avenue in Riverside claimed one life and injured three others.

At approximately 11:38 p.m., Riverside police and fire crews responded to reports of a crash at Central Avenue and Fairview Avenue.

Investigators said a green sedan was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when it left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. The impact caused severe damage to the vehicle.

First responders found the driver with critical injuries and pronounced the individual dead at the scene. Three passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately released.

The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team, along with the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner, took over the investigation. Authorities have not yet identified the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
