Two Injured in Crash at Central Avenue and Virginia Street; Victims Taken to Hospital
Albuquerque, NM (April 3, 2026) — On Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle collision on Central Avenue left at least two individuals injured.
According to authorities, the frightening collision happened at the intersection with Virginia Street around 9:15 a.m.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed, but both required medical attention following the collision.
The crash blocked lanes of traffic, prompting authorities to shut down eastbound Central while crews cleared the scene and ensured safety in the area. Officials continue to investigate what led to the incident.
Let’s Drive Safer Together
High-speed crashes can occur in the blink of an eye, but so many are preventable with small, intelligent decisions. Pay attention, don’t get distracted (say, by texting) and never drive after drinking. As ever – obey speed limits, buckle up and keep plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles. These are small enough measures to save lives — including your own.
We can all take steps to help keep our roads safe for ourselves, our families and our communities.
Crashes at busy intersections can lead to serious injuries and traffic disruptions. Drivers should stay attentive, obey traffic signals, and avoid distractions to help protect themselves and others on the road.
A Personal Injury Claim Could Help
A personal injury case is critical after a car accident, especially when there is an injured party caused by another driver’s carelessness. Automobile accidents can lead to painful physical injuries, emotional distress and financial ruin. Medical expenses, lost income, and expenses for long term recovery don’t take long to add up. One option for reaching a fair resolution to these damages is a personal injury lawsuit.
Filing a court action holds the wrongdoer accountable. It also forces insurance providers to offer a reasonable settlement, rather than a low-ball offer that may not be enough to cover all of your losses. In too many instances, the insurers who shouldn’t be in the business of trying to maximize their profits often look for ways to minimize their payouts. And your rights will be protected with the personal injury claim throughout this process.
Also, in a personal injury lawsuit, you may be able to recover noneconomic damages such as pain and suffering or loss of enjoyment of life. It’s often no less important than your medical bills. In suing, you also encourage safer driving by reinforcing the accountability of reckless or negligent drivers.
If you do retain an experienced personal injury lawyer, the case is likely to proceed much more smoothly and not only will you be led through the legal process, you will likely have a better chance of a positive outcome as well.
