2-Car Collision on Cypress Avenue Injures Female Driver [Victorville, CA]

Victorville, CA (June 1, 2025) — A woman sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center after a two-vehicle collision on Cypress Avenue in Victorville on Sunday morning.

The crash happened at about 9 a.m. at the intersection with Eleventh Avenue when a Honda Accord and a Toyota Tundra collided in the southbound lanes.

Authorities said the impact caused the Honda to suffer severe driver-side damage. The vehicle then left the roadway, crashed through a chain-link fence, and came to rest partially inside the yard of a nearby home.

Emergency responders arrived and found the female driver trapped inside the Honda. Firefighters used rescue equipment to free her from the wreckage before transporting her to Providence St. Mary Medical Center. She was later airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team examined the crash, and officials temporarily closed Eleventh Avenue between Lone Eagle Street and Hickory Avenue during the investigation. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision.
