Chaotic Collision on Guerrero Street Injures 9 People [San Francisco, CA]

San Francisco, CA (July 21, 2026) — Nine people were injured Sunday night after a shocking collision on Guerrero Street when a reckless driver fleeing police crashed into another occupied vehicle.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers spotted a vehicle driving erratically near Guerrero and 19th streets shortly after 8 p.m. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over and nearly collided with a patrol vehicle.

The pursuit ended near 14th Street and South Van Ness Avenue when the suspect vehicle crashed into another car. The impact forced the second vehicle into a fire hydrant and a nearby business.

Police detained the driver and four passengers from the suspect vehicle at the scene. Two occupants of the suspect vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. Six other people sustained minor injuries, while a ninth person declined medical transportation.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
