Two Injured in Three-Truck Collision Near Shelbina, Missouri

Shelbina, MO (December 12, 2025) — A three-truck collision on Highway 36 left two drivers injured on Wednesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:15 a.m., roughly a mile west of Shelbina, as all vehicles were traveling westbound.

Reports say that a 71-year-old Shelbina man slowed his pickup to make a right turn when a truck driven by a 53-year-old Jacksonville man struck him from behind. Debris from the collision hit a third pickup driven by a 46-year-old Monroe City man, who was not injured.

The driver of the rear-ended pickup sustained serious injuries, while the second driver suffered minor injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. Troopers noted that the man in the struck pickup was not wearing a seat belt; the other drivers were properly restrained.
