Rollover Traffic Collision on Highway 61 Under Investigation [New London, MO]

New London, MO (June 30, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision on Highway 61 north of New London, Missouri, left one woman seriously injured Sunday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened when one vehicle changed lanes and struck another. The impact forced one of the vehicles off the roadway, where it overturned.

Emergency crews airlifted a woman from the overturned vehicle to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. Authorities said both the driver and the passenger in the overturned vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The driver of the second vehicle sought medical treatment at Hannibal Regional Hospital after traveling there by private vehicle.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
