Two Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 71 in Lincoln County

Lincoln County, CO (July 11, 2026) — On Friday afternoon, a three-vehicle collision on Highway 71 in Lincoln County sent at least two people to the hospital.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection with Lincoln County Road 3N, north of Limon. The collision involved a Ford F-150, a Kenworth semi-truck, and a Mazda CX-5.

Emergency responders transported at least two people to a local hospital. Authorities have not released the severity of their injuries.

The crash forced the closure of Highway 71 for approximately two hours before officials reopened the roadway around 2:23 p.m.

The Colorado State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
