Driver Airlifted After Semi-Truck Crash on I-15 Near Stateline

Mountain Pass, CA (May 9, 2025) — On Wednesday morning, a person suffered critical injuries following a collision on Interstate 15 involving a sedan and a semi-truck, near Stateline in Mountain Pass.

According to the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash occurred around 11:06 a.m. on May 6 along northbound I-15 just before Nipton Road.

Investigators said a gray Infiniti G37 and a semi tractor-trailer were involved in the collision. After impact, the Infiniti reportedly traveled about 150 feet off the right side of the freeway and came to rest in a ditch.

Emergency crews rescued the driver from the wreckage before Mercy Air transported the victim to a Las Vegas trauma center in critical condition.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash. The California Highway Patrol’s Barstow Office continues to investigate the incident.
