Jefferson County, MO (October 09, 2025) — A child was airlifted to a hospital after a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 55 Sunday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities temporarily closed both northbound lanes and one southbound lane for about 90 minutes while they cleared the scene and investigated the cause.
