Deadly Truck Collision on Pima Road Under Investigation [Scottsdale, AZ]

Scottsdale, AZ (August 9, 2026) — A two-truck collision on Pima Road in north Scottsdale left one person dead and another with life-threatening injuries Friday morning.

Scottsdale police and firefighters responded to the crash near Pima and Pinnacle Peak roads around 9:20 a.m. Two people went to the hospital, where one later died. The other remains in critical condition.

Three additional people received treatment at the scene. Authorities have not identified the person who died.

One of the trucks was towing a trailer that overturned in the crash, temporarily blocking parts of both roads. Crews have since cleared the intersection.

Police continue to investigate what caused the collision.
