Deputy-Involved Four-Vehicle Crash in Santa Rosa Valley Sends Several to Hospital

Santa Rosa Valley, CA (December 19, 2025) — On Wednesday, a multi-vehicle collision on Santa Rosa Road resulted in multiple injuries.

According to California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:27 p.m. in the 11000 block of Santa Rosa Road.

Authorities say that a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department vehicle was involved in a four-vehicle crash that also included a blue minivan. Emergency crews from CHP, Ventura County Fire Department, and AMR paramedics responded to the scene.

Five people, including one sheriff’s deputy, suffered minor injuries. First responders transported three of those individuals to nearby hospitals, while others received treatment at the scene. Authorities temporarily shut down Santa Rosa Road between Moorpark Road and Upland as investigators worked to clear the area and determine what led to the crash.

Because the collision involved a sheriff’s office vehicle, the California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. No further details have been released.
