Pedestrian Killed in Crash on South First Street in St. Louis
St. Louis, MO (August 1, 2026) — A pedestrian lost their life Friday afternoon after a traffic collision on South First Street in south St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the fatal crash occurred in the 4100 block of South First Street in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. Reconstruction investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police temporarily advised motorists to avoid the area while the investigation continued. Officials have not released the victim’s identity or additional details about the collision.
