Multi-Vehicle Collision on State Route 3 Left Woman Hurt [Kitsap County, WA]

Kitsap County, WA (June 1, 2025) — On Friday evening, a 44-year-old Tacoma woman sustained injuries in a three-vehicle collision on State Route 3 near Gorst in Kitsap County.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened around 5:49 p.m. near Sunnyslope Road. Investigators said a 24-year-old Poulsbo man lost control of his vehicle while traveling southbound and collided with a car driven by a 29-year-old Belfair man.

After the initial impact, the Poulsbo driver left the roadway, struck a guardrail, crossed the center line, and crashed into the Tacoma woman’s northbound vehicle.

Emergency crews transported the Tacoma woman to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that both the Poulsbo driver’s vehicle and the Tacoma woman’s vehicle were totaled, while the Belfair driver’s vehicle sustained significant damage.

Investigators listed DUI and negligent driving as contributing factors. The Poulsbo driver could face charges related to driving under the influence and hit-and-run.
