Cook Street 3-Vehicle Crash Results in Injury [Palm Desert, CA]

Palm Desert, CA (July 4, 2025) – Authorities are investigating the Cook Street 3-vehicle crash that left a deputy injured on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the horrific collision happened shortly after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Cook Street and Gerald Ford Drive.

Reports say that the three-vehicle collision that involved a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy.

The crash occurred when the deputy, responding to an emergency call, traveled south on Gerald Ford Drive. As he attempted to proceed through the intersection, he struck a Subaru Outback.

The impact caused the Subaru to lose control and crash into a Nissan Rogue. Both male drivers of the civilian vehicles were unharmed.

The deputy reported an injury complaint and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for evaluation.
